The Bay of Fundy ~ A Study of Contrasts

Observation Post during high tide
Same spot during low tide, only mud now, water is far to the left.

Rocks on beach during high tide looking from way above
Same view during low tide.
We are on the stairs waiting to go down.  The high tide mark came up and covered the bottom stairs going down to the beach.  When it drops a certain amount, the rangers will let everyone on the beach.  The arch in the back of the picture has been under water before when the tide record of 46 feet was made.  We will stand under this arch in a matter of an hour or so.
Low tide at the same spot as above, as seen from the stairs.
On the stairs looking down during high tide.
Same spot looking down the next day during low tide.
Finally access to the beach during high tide but the water is receding fast.  We marked one spot and it receded 22 feet in 17 minutes.
More recession than the previous picture.
Skipping rocks, his record was 6 skips.  He has inherited Granddaddy's rock skipping skills.
They are wet and dirty but having loads of fun making an archway.
Silhouette on the beach at the archway.
Beautiful princess
